Following six years as an English Teacher and three years as Head of Cultural Programme of activities at the International Arts Centre in Paris, Francine moved to London where she worked part-time at the Alliance Française de Londres. Francine is now the Director and Head of Studies at the Alliance Française de Cambridge where for 25 years she has promoted French language and culture. Francine's role as Director encompasses teaching French to individuals and groups, facilitating exchanges with the French-speaking world, supporting local organisations and setting up social and cultural events in partnership with them, and promoting a better mutual understanding between people of different nations. In 1999, Francine was awarded the title of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes academiques by the French government for her contribution to helping forge links between France and the United Kingdom.
